Rev. Sujith Sam Mammen serves as the Vicar of Carmel Mar Thoma Church, Boston since Oct 2021 and is available to render services as Spiritual Advisor to students. He believes that mentoring people at a young age to walk along the path of the loving God would inspire them to be torchbearers of this love in a world that is increasingly gasping for breath. Reading, writing, talking and learning about everything under the sun, singing, drawing, traveling and meeting new people and cultures are his interests. Hailing from the south Indian state of Kerala, he was brought up in different parts of the world. He has a Masters in English Language and Literature from the Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. He did his Bachelor of Divinity at the United Theological College in Bangalore – class of 2010. He also procured a Master of Theology (M Th) in Christian Education in 2020 from Eastern Theological College, Jorhat under the Senate of Serampore University in India. Over the last decade, he has served as Vicar, Missionary and Students’ Chaplain in various parishes and locales in the Indian states of Kerala, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu. Connecting with people in their places of interest and extending pastoral support is an experience that he likes to involve in. He has a particular passion for ministry among children and is interested in choral singing.
